UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Indiana looks to snap a three-game losing streak when it travels to Penn State for a Noon ET tipoff on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions are coming off a 90-89 win over Illinois on Wednesday, when they made a miraculous comeback after trailing 89-82 with 37 seconds left. In the season's first matchup Penn State defeated Indiana 85-71 in Bloomington.

Meet the coaches

  • Mike Rhoades, Penn State: Rhoades is in his first season at Penn State with a 13-14 record and a 7-9 mark in the Big Ten. Before replacing Micah Shrewsberry at Penn State, Rhoades coached VCU for six seasons and went 129–61 overall with a 72–32 record in Atlantic 10 play. Under Rhoades, VCU won the Atlantic 10 twice, finished second twice and made three NCAA Tournament appearances. Prior to VCU, Rhoades coached Rice for three seasons and spent 10 years coaching Randolph-Macon, a Division III school in Virginia.
  • Mike Woodson, Indiana: Woodson is in his third season at Indiana with a 58-38 overall record and a 27-28 mark in regular season Big Ten play. Woodson has NBA head coaching experience with the Atlanta Hawks from 2004-10 and the New York Knicks from 2012-14. Woodson played at Indiana University from 1976-80, and was named the Big Ten's Most Valuable Player as a senior under coach Bob Knight. He was the 12th overall pick in the 1980 NBA Draft, and played for various teams from 1980-91, averaging 14 points over 786 games.
