Indiana Women's Basketball No. 4 Seed, Host Site in 2024 NCAA Tournament

The Hoosiers (24-5, 15-3) will host the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season. They will play No. 13 Fairfield (31-1) in the first round. The other first-round game in Bloomington is No. 5 Oklahoma (22-9) vs No. 12 Florida Gulf Coast (29-4).

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana women’s basketball was announced as a No. 4 seed in Sunday night’s Selection Show for the NCAA Tournament and will host the first two rounds at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

The Hoosiers will play No. 13 seed Fairfield on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

It's the third straight year Indiana has earned the right to be a host site. If the Hoosiers (24-5, 15-3) win that first game, they will play the winner of No. 5 seed Oklahoma versus No. 12 Florida Gulf Coast. If Indiana can get past the second round, it could run into No. 1 overall and unbeaten South Carolina in Albany, N.Y. in the Sweet 16.

Here's the full bracket.

The Hoosiers will not have played for two weeks by the time the first round of the NCAA Tournament begins. That could allow forwards Mackenzie Holmes and Lilly Meister to recover from their injuries sustained at the end of the regular season. This year’s tournament will be the sixth appearance for head coach Teri Moren across 10 seasons.

More info will be published when the time and TV for Indiana’s game becomes available.
