Foster Chooses Cyclones Over Iowa

Iowa lost an in-state recruiting battle for Xavier Foster on Monday, when the 7-foot center from Oskaloosa chose Iowa State over the Hawkeyes.
The decision ended a long battle between the two schools for Foster, a four-star recruit who is ranked 56th on Rivals.com's Top 150 for the 2020 recruiting class.
Foster averaged 14.4 points and 11.8 rebounds last season at Oskaloosa.
Foster was all over the state last week before making his decision, watching Iowa's exhibition game and season opener as well as Iowa State's opener.
The Hawkeyes are still in on Josh Ogundele, a 6-11 center at Worcester (Mass.) Academy. Ogundele also has interest in Cincinnati, Rhode Island and Rutgers. Ogundele made an official visit to Iowa on Oct. 12.
The Hawkeyes have four commitments to the 2020 class — Ahron Ulis, a 6-2 guard from Chicago Heights, Ill., Tony Perkins, a 6-4 guard from Indianapolis, and 6-8 twin forwards Kris and Keegan Murray, sons of former Hawkeye Kenyon Murray.
