Notes

• Iowa will face 10 teams this season that were in last season's NCAA tournament.

What to watch

It's a new season for the Hawkeyes, who are coming off an Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA tournament last season. They lost three seniors from that team, including national player of the year Megan Gustafson.

The Hawkeyes will go back to the four-guard look that has worked well in Bluder's time as head coach. Czinano will take over as the lone post — she didn't miss a shot in Iowa's exhibition win over Winona State last Sunday.

Doyle is one of the best guards in the Big Ten — she was a unanimous preseason all-conference pick. Meyer and Sevillian are deep-range threats, and they'll need to be consistent shooters this season.

Martin is one of the team's unknowns — she missed all of last season after with a knee injury.
