The Kansas Jayhawks held on for a hard fought win against the Baylor Bears in Lawrence despite having only 7 scholarship players available and the ending brought out some very strong feeling from both sides of the game.

Scott Drew and the Bears had multiple chances to tie the game with wide open threes, but were unable to knock them down. He was asked about that, along with the difficulty in preparing when the status of a key opposing player is in doubt. He also talked about how the team handled a key piece of their rotation missing, and Yves Missi was asked about his experience playing inside against the Jayhawks.

Hunter Dickinson and KJ Adams were next to the table, and they were asked about the approach the players took to prepare for Kevin McCullar and Jamari McDowell being unavailable. They were also asked about the fatigue factor, how they were able to stifle Baylor's offense, and if the short bench and potential foul trouble changed the way that they played.

Bill Self was asked about the execution at the end of the game, the defensive performance that included 17 steals, the miscues at the end of the game and his overall impression of the performance.

The end of Self's time included questions about how the short bench affected the game plan and the way the team played. He also looked ahead to the short turnaround for the second straight week and preparing for Texas Tech.
