WATCH: Alex Afari Jr. forces a fumble and Jalen Geiger takes it to the house

A scoop and score gives the Cats a 17-7 lead over Ball State.

The Cats get the first defensive touchdown of the season after Alex Afari Jr. rocked the Ball State tight end, causing a fumble, which was recovered and taken to the house by Jalen Geiger. 

The hit by Afari Jr. was a vicious one that had some thinking it could be a targeting penalty, but the officials looked at it, and the touchdown stood. 

This scoop and score was Kentucky's first fumble recovery for a touchdown since 2019.

The Cats got punched in the mouth, but they didn't put their head down. They punched right back scoring back-to-back touchdowns to take a 17-7 lead over Ball State.
