Cameron and Cayden Boozer are not only the sons of Duke legend and two-time All-Star Carlos Boozer, but they are top 15 ranked prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. And while many still believe the pair will follow their dad's footsteps in Durham, they made it clear they are exploring other options.

“I’d say not to make that assumption,” Cameron said Friday night at the Holiday Hoopsgiving showcase, per On3 Sports. Cayden added, “It’s definitely not a done deal. I have my own path that I need to take, and if I go to Duke, then that’s what happens. I’m not a lock to go anywhere.”

The duo has taken four official visits together, with Miami, Florida, and Kentucky joining Duke in the race right now.

Cameron and Cayden each spoke about the four schools they have visited. Here is what each had to say about John Calipari and the Wildcats:

Cameron: “Coach Cal does a great job of getting players from college to the NBA. A lot of his players have success in the NBA, too. He puts his best players in spots where they can perform. He’s a great coach, great coaching staff, and great school.”

Cayden: “They’re a winning program. They always have been. Coach Calipari sends people to the league. He knows how to get people better, and I like that about him.”

Kentucky has eight other offers out in the 2025 class, in addition to the Boozers, as coach Calipari continues to build a roster of the premier high school talent in the country.
