Five-Star Forward Commits To The Kentucky Wildcats

The Kentucky Wildcats pick up a huge commitment.

The Kentucky Wildcats added another talented member to the 2024 recruiting class.

John Calipari and the Kentucky basketball program set their sights on more size to pick up a big-time small forward to help bolster the future of the program and build one of the best classes in the country. They accomplished that Saturday.

Karter Knox, a 6-foot-6, 211-pound small forward from Overtime Elite, announced that he would be playing for Kentucky for his college career. Knox is the sixth member of a stacked class that ranks second in all of college basketball and first in the SEC. Only Duke's class ranks higher.

"Coach Cal is a good coach, probably one of the greatest coaches in college basketball," Knox told 247Sports. "He coached my brother and got him prepared for the League. He is coaching DJ Wagner and we were on the same USA team. DJ is going to be a lottery pick but he knows what he is doing. He has been in the game for too long."

Know picked the Wildcats over Lousiville, South Florida, and Overtime Elite. He announced his decision during halftime of an Overtime Elite Finals game.

His older brother, Kevin Knox II played for Calipari during the 2017-2018 season. Kevin led Kentucky in points and total threes made during that season before being the ninth overall selection in the 2018 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks.

He joins Jayden Quaintance, Billy Richmond, Boogie Fland, Somto Cyril, and Travis Perry in Kentucky's 2024 class.
