Justin Edwards needs to have a big game against Marshall

The Cats need Justin Edwards to go off against Marshall.

The Kentucky Wildcats are set to host the Marshall Thundering Herd on Friday evening, and it feels like it will be a big game for Justin Edwards.

Edwards, like DJ Wagner, has had a slow start to the season, but Wagner got out of his slump last game against the Saint Joseph's Hawks.

While Edwards did score in double figures last game, he still hasn't had what I would classify as a "big game" for the projected top-five pick.

Big Blue Nation needs to remember what team is coming to town on Tuesday, and that would be the #10 Miami Hurricanes.

So Edwards needs to use this game against the Thundering Herd as a get-right game, so he has a ton of confidence heading into the Miami game.

After the loss to Kansas, the Cats need to start stacking up ranked wins over some quality basketball teams for NCAA Tournament seeding, so this Miami game is very important.

Edwards needs to have a game where he scores from all over the court, including deep, the mid-range jumper, and around the rim.

During warmups, I always watch Edwards practice his mid-range jumper, and it's clear he loves that shot. Once he starts hitting it and gains more confidence around the rim, Edwards will put the college basketball world on notice.
