Kentucky basketball target Billy Richmond was on campus for a visit this past weekend

Kentucky basketball had a big-time target on campus.

Over the weekend, high four-star small forward Billy Richmond was in Lexington for an official visit.

Richmond is ranked as the 31st best player in 247Sports composite rankings for the 2024 class, but in their own rankings, 247Sports has Richmond ranked 24th.

The small forward is six-foot-five and weighs 200 pounds.

He plays his high school hoops at Camden in New Jersey, which means he was teammates with DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw last season.

Hopefully, that connection will get this talented three in Lexington to play his college hoops.

I have had the pleasure of seeing Richmond live when he, Wagner, and Bradshaw were in Frankfort for a game and was really impressed.

Richmond does everything on the court you would want from a three, including slash and shoot. He also plays good defense and can jump out of the gym.

He will be taking lots of visits soon to schools like Memphis, Kansas, and Alabama, so it will be a battle to land Richmond.

If the Cats were to land Richmond, John Calipari's squad is getting one of the most underrated players in the 2024 class.
