Kentucky Briefing: The Wildcats lead to land five-star Billy Richmond is increasing

Kentucky is the front-runner to land five-star Billy Richmond.

The Kentucky Wildcats have added two recruits to the 2024 class over the past few days, and it seems like another might be following right behind them.

Lots of people in the national media believe five-star small forward Billy Richmond will be a part of Kentucky's 2024 recruiting class.

On3's recruit prediction machine gives the Cats a 93.8% chance to land Richmond, with the next closest team being the Memphis Tigers, with a 2.4% chance.

Last time we checked in on Richmond's numbers on the recruiting prediction machine was exactly a month ago, and Kentucky had an 87.4% chance of landing him.

This means Kentucky's chances of landing the five-star who is ranked 23rd overall by 247Sports composite rankings raised by 6.4%.

I have had the pleasure of watching Richmond play live alongside DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw, and in this game, Richmond outplayed both of them.

He is one of the best players in the 2024 class, and if Kentucky were to land him, it would likely move the Cats class up to number one, surpassing Duke.

I wrote about Kentucky's shot selection down the stretch against Kansas.

"It's hard to have any complaints about Kentucky's showing against the #1 Kansas Jayhawks in Chicago, but if there was one, it would be the shot selection late."

"When you have a late lead in a basketball game, it becomes a possession-by-possession game."
