This stat shows how good Kentucky's offense has been this season

Kentucky basketball is a top-ten team in college basketball in points per game.

It's no secret that Kentucky's offense has been excellent this season, but this number will show you just how good it has been.

Ten games into the season, Kentucky is sixth in all of college basketball in points per game, scoring 90.2. The only power five schools Kentucky is behind are Arizona (92.3) and Alabama (90.5).

Kentucky can score the basketball at a very high level, which is why they have started off the season so hot. The Cats currently have six players averaging double figures, which shows you just how much this team can score.

Let's take a look at the six Cats averaging double figures so far this season.

Antonio Reeves (17.1), Rob Dillingham (14.4), Reed Sheppard (12.8), DJ Wagner (12.8), Tre Mitchell (12.7), and Aaron Bradshaw (10.7). Justin Edwards is right on these players' tails, scoring 9.6 points per game, and will likely finish the season scoring in double figures.

This team is great on the offensive side of things, as I said, but defense needs to be better for this team to make a deep run. If you rely strictly on scoring a bunch of points it can hurt in the NCAA Tournament if one game, you go cold.
