WATCH: This play vs. Kentucky State shows why the Kentucky Wildcats are a National Championship contender

This play should have Kentucky fans very excited for this season.

The Kentucky Wildcats are blowing out Kentucky State in their exhibition game and have looked excellent doing it.

Both DJ Wagner and Justin Edwards are in double figures, and Rob Dillingham has looked outstanding off the bench.

This play made by the three before-mentioned players shows why this Kentucky team is a true National Championship contender.

Edwards tried to get to the rim and score but was cut off as he went up, so he passed the ball to an open Dillingham. The defender quickly closed out on Dillingham, so instead of taking a contested shot, he swung the rock to a wide-open Wagner, who drained the three.

This was a high basketball IQ play from these three true freshmen that showed they are wise beyond their years.

If these three guys prove that they don't need a long period of time to adjust to college basketball, it will help the Cats win early in the season.

Let's take a look at this beautiful play from Kentucky's three true freshman stars.
