Kentucky basketball lands commitment of four-star point guard Travis Perry

Kentucky's all-time scoring leader in high school basketball commits to John Calipari and the Wildcats.

Kentucky basketball received another commitment in the 2024 class as four-star point guard Travis Perry chose the Cats over Ole Miss, Western Kentucky, and Cincinnati.

Perry is a Kentucky native who attends Lyon County High School in Eddyville.

He is Kentucky's all-time leading scorer in high school basketball, so this young man can score the rock.

It seemed like Perry was headed to Ole Miss, but as we at Wildcats Today said last week when he put Kentucky in his final four schools if Coach Calipari wants him, he will get him.

This commitment is huge because if Perry goes to Ole Miss and becomes a star, you are letting the state's all-time leading scorer go to another team in your conference.

Perry might not be the biggest guard, standing six-foot-one and weighing 170 pounds, but his ability to drain threes and create shots for his teammates is what makes him such a good player.

247Sports has Perry listed as the 80th player in the 2024 class in their composite rankings. Perry is ranked the highest on 247Sports as they have him 70th in their own rankings.

This is a big get for the Kentucky Wildcats as Perry will be a player that will stick around for a while in Lexington and play a lot of good basketball for John Calipari.

With Somto Cyril and Boogie Fland already signed with the Cats, Perry becomes the third player in Kentucky's 2024 class.
