Meet your Standouts: Da'Quan Patton, Senior, LB

If we'd asked you to bet on who the leading tackler for Kansas State would be after the first game of the season - first you would have said it was ridiculous to bet on such a thing.
But second you would have said a name like Trey Dishon or Denzel Goolsby. You almost certainly wouldn't have selected senior linebacker Da'Quan Patton.
Patton is a transfer from Trinity Valley Community College (TX), who played his high school ball at Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, TX.
His high school film shows some potential to be a standout player at the next level. He's struggled to find his way, though, and never really made an impact until 2018, when he saw the field regularly and notched 70 tackles for the Wildcats.
Shrouded in mystery, K-State linebackers Elijah Sullivan and Da'Quan Patton are expected to start together for the first time on Sept. 1. It'll be a new look at linebacker. I spoke with Bill Snyder & K-State players about this ahead of start of fall camp. https://t.co/0rTdbtRYqw
