Stars of 2019: Wyatt Hubert, DE, Kansas

— Wyatt Hubert (@Wyatt_Bert) December 31, 2018
While only entering his second season starting for the Wildcats, former Shawnee Heights standout Wyatt Hubert has established himself as one of the top defensive ends in the Big 12, and the country.
In fact, in July, Hubert was named to the Bronko Nagurski trophy, given annually to the top defensive player in the country.
This is an incredible recognition for any player, but for a sophomore to named to this list is undeniably impressive.

Hubert committed to the Wildcats early, in February of his Junior year. He was a three star prospect, ranked number 4 in Kansas and the 28th ranked defensive end in the country.
He clearly has picked up where he left off in high school, if not transcended (already) where we thought he may good when he signed with the Cats.
He has already impressed new Coach Chris Klieman:
Chris Klieman on Wyatt Hubert: “(He’s) unbelievably explosive, relentless, strong, physical and does it all. I’m really excited because I think he just scratched the surface last year. He’s an All-Big 12 player.”
