Wildcats in Waiting, 2020: DeMarrquese Hayes, Linebacker, Texas

DeMarrquese Hayes is a three star linebacker from Waco, Texas who committed to Kansas State in early June after receiving offers from New Mexico, Houston, among others.

Despite being from Texas, La Vega High School linebacker Demarrquese Hayes has found his future home in Manhattan Kansas beginning in the Fall of 2020. 

Hayes is a 6'1" 190lb backer who seems to be a little undersized in a traditional linebacker role, but should fill in nicely as a coverage backer who blitzes occasionally. He may struggle at his current size to be impactful in run defense.
