Ask anyone following Kansas State recruiting closely, and they'll tell you at that one of the prospects that they're most excited about is Konner Fox from San Antonio, Texas.

Fox is a 6'5" 225 lb mis-match in the making for Kansas State, who fans should be salivating over seeing line up with linebackers and safeties across the Big 12.

When you watch his film, what stands out about Fox is his ability to go up and get the ball at the high point - much like top tier wide receivers do. That ability coupled with a large frame will make Fox a difficult cover for any would be defender.

His height is also a decided advantage; standing 6'5" we would expect him to have a five inch advantage or more over nearly every person who covers him from the secondary.

I think that Fox has a chance to be a star in the Big 12 and for the Wildcats; and I expect him to contribute this year. With a new coaching staff coming in - I don't expect incumbents to be gifted spots, and Fox is more talented than any other tight end on the roster.

The biggest question marks will be his blocking and whether or not he is strong enough to get off the block, so expect to see him more out of the slot this season if he makes it on the field.
