Wildcats in Waiting, 2020: Malachi Mitchell, Safety, Texas

Malachi Mitchell is a safety prospect from Mansfield Legacy HS in Mansfield Texas who brings speed and toughness to Manhattan.

Malachi Mitchell has known for some time that he was destined to play big time college football. Recently, he decided he'd be doing so in Manhattan. 

Mitchell is a big, 6'0" safety who not only excels in coverage, but also has toughness to play in the box. 

It did not take Mitchell long to commit to Manhattan once offered by Coach Klieman and staff. He was offered on March 7th, and committed just a few months later:

Mitchell received plenty of other interest, including from in state rival Kansas; as well as Colorado State, the Air Force Academy, among others. 

Malachi Mitchell will be a fantastic addition to the Wildcats in 2020.
