#23 LSU vs. #21 Missouri Prediction, NCAAF Picks & Odds: 10/7 on ESPN

Arkansas vs. #14 LSU Prediction with DraftKings

It was both a night to remember and a night to forget for LSU. Jayden Daniels threw for 414 yards and four touchdowns, three to Brian Thomas Jr., who had eight catches for 124 yards. Malik Nabers also had eight catches, for 102 yards. And Logan Diggs rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Daniels added another 99 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

But LSU could not hold on, suffering a last-minute, heartbreaking 55-49 defeat. Now, the 23rd-ranked Tigers face No. 21 Missouri, which has gotten out to a fast, 5-0 start, including an upset of then-15th-ranked Kansas State.

Quarterbacks with spectacular numbers face off in this matchup. Daniels has thrown for 1,710 yards and 16 touchdowns while completing 73% of his passes for LSU. Missouri counters with Brady Cook, who has completed 75% of his passes for 1,468 yards and 11 touchdowns with no interceptions. It may just be another shootout for LSU.

LSU Tigers vs. Missouri Tigers Prediction: CFB This Week

LSU has either equaled or surpassed 65 points four out of five games this season. But Missouri has stayed under that number all year, and they know that getting into a shootout with LSU is a fool’s errand, so our experts believe they will work to limit possessions by LSU’ offense. Missouri won’t be able to stop LSU, but the thought process here is that the scoring will be down compared to LSU vs. Ole Miss.

The bet here is that LSU will still put points on the board and Daniels will continue his strong early season performance, but the official LSU vs. Missouri prediction is for the total points scored to go under the 65 listed at DraftKings.

LSU vs. Missouri Picks & CFB Best Bets for Saturday Including Under 65 Points

The DraftKings Sportsbook spread for this game has LSU giving 6.5 points to Missouri. Even though they are the road team, the prediction here is that LSU is going to rebound from the last loss to Ole Miss, and Missouri will have to pay the tab for that response. Our experts predict that LSU will cover that 6.5-point spread while the total points scored in the game will go under 65.

Coach Pete Jenkins Returns to LSU

Pete Jenkins, who has previously coached at LSU three different times, is returning as an analyst for the team ahead of the Missouri game. The 82-year-old Jenkins is a defensive line specialist who was considered one of the top coaches at his position for nearly half a century, with stops at Mississippi State, Auburn and USC, along with the Philadelphia Eagles, before previously retiring at LSU in 2017.

This move comes in the wake of LSU surrendering a school-record 706 yards in the Ole Miss loss.
