Tiger Practice Report: LSU gets some friendly faces back from injury

As LSU prepares for Utah State on Saturday, some familiar faces were seen at Monday's practice portion open to the media.

Among the injured that participated, even in a limited role during individual drills, were quarterback Myles Brennan, wide receiver Justin Jefferson, linebackers K'Lavon Chaisson and Michael Divinity as well as defensive end Rashard Lawrence.

Now individual drills don't mean much and considering it wasn't a padded practice it could mean even less. However, the fact they're participating in drills can only be good news for their recovery.

Orgeron said Monday the team will continue to monitor the progression of Chaisson, Divinity and Lawrence but that all three remained a bit 'gimpy.'

Chaisson and Lawrence have been out since the Texas game while Divinity and Jefferson were both injured in the Tigers 66-38 win over Vanderbilt.

The Tigers take on a Utah State team that is a formidable offense behind quarterback Jordan Love so the more healthy the defensive front seven can be, the better.

During individual team drills, the safeties were working with coach Bill Busch falling on loose balls.
