2024 Timpson (Tex.) athlete Terry Bussey will make his college announcement Thursday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. CT with the Tigers in the mix for the five-star.

LSU, Texas A&M, Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas are the finalists for the blue-chip 2024 prospect with just hours until a decision is revealed.

Bussey is coming off of an official visit to Baton Rouge where the Tigers’ staff rolled out the red carpet for the No. 1 athlete in America.

With the chance to soak in the scenes of Death Valley, hold meetings with the coaching staff and more, it was quite the two-day stretch for Bussey.

Now, after a final official visit and a decision set for Thursday, the clock is ticking until a commitment is revealed with the Texas A&M Aggies trending for the dynamic prospect.

LSU’s Pitch

LSU views Bussey as a “Swiss Army Knife” type of player who can come in and compete for playing time in every facet of the game. He can carve out a role at safety on defense while also spending time on special teams as well.

Bussey sat down with wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton as well during his time in Baton Rouge over the weekend.

Fresh off of a Friday night game, Bussey made the trip to LSU on Saturday where he stayed in town for a 48 hour visit.

It was his second time down South after unofficially visiting in June as well. For LSU, it’s a situation where this program feels they answered all of the questions Bussey’s camp had, but it’ll be a battle for his services.

A program-changing prospect, the Tigers did more than just roll out the carpet for the five-star talent, but will it be enough to sway him away from the home state Aggies?

Trending: Texas A&M

Bussey has visited College Station more than five times this year with the Aggies certainly leading the pack here as a decision inches closer.

Jimbo Fisher and Co. have separated themselves from the competition, but with visits to Alabama and LSU recently, he’s kept his options open before revealing a commitment.

For the Aggies, they’ve been the frontrunner for a while now and have an opportunity to keep the home town kid in his state. Despite Bussey having ties to Louisiana, momentum is in Texas A&M’s favor with the clock dwindling down, but again, anything can happen on the recruiting trail.

If LSU pulls it off, it would be a monster get for this program, but it will certainly be a battle until the clock hits zero and Bussey reveals his decision at 3:45 p.m. CT.
