LSU remains at No. 5 in AP Poll following Utah State win

Florida jumps to No. 7 in rankings setting up SEC night matchup

With the meat of the LSU schedule now a week away, the AP Poll voters took notice, keeping the Tigers at No. 5 in the rankings while sliding Florida up to No. 7.

The Tigers are coming off a 42-6 victory over Utah State while Florida survived a battle of the defenses with No. 12 Auburn over the weekend.

LSU still trails No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson and No. 3 Georgia and Ohio State, who uncharacteristically received the exact same votes for the No. 3 spot. 

The only other SEC school to be placed in the top-25 was Texas A&M, coming in at No. 24.
