Tiger Practice Report: Kristian Fulton, Tyler Shelvin Missing from Monday's Practice, Marcel Brooks with Outside Linebackers

Marshall goes through individual drills as freshman Brooks makes transition to linebacker

As expected, sophomore wide receiver Terrace Marshall was at Monday's unpadded practice, going through individual drills with the receivers.

There were a few notable absences from practice Monday including senior cornerback Kristian Fulton and nose tackle Tyler Shelvin. Fulton went out temporarily in the first half of the Tiger's 42-28 win over Florida Saturday night, but ultimately returned to the game.

During practice, freshman Marcel Brooks was seen practicing with the outside linebackers. LSU coach Ed Orgeron said the freshman has come to the realization he may be better suited to play outside linebacker for the Tigers moving forward, after originally being recruited as a safety.

Brooks made one of the plays of the night in the third quarter Saturday, sacking Gator quarterback Kyle Trask on third down that allowed the LSU offense to take the lead on the next possession.

The defensive line was also seen working with tackling dummies, working on explosion drills.
