Live Game Update/Thread: No. 2 LSU vs No. 9 Auburn

Pregame
Freshman guard Kardell Thomas was seen going through warmups but is not likely to play Saturday. Terrace Marshall and Glen Logan, on the other hand, will start Saturday, as expected.
2:22 p.m.- Tiger Band with the pregame tunes to get the afternoon started.
2:33 p.m.- LSU takes the field

LSU wins the toss and defers to second half. Auburn will start with the ball
First Quarter
Bo Nix opens with a first down pass and goes hurry up to start the game.
LSU forces an incomplete pass on 3rd-and-8. Joe Burrow and company will get the ball for the first time. Ball at the 12-yard line after an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on LSU.
LSU offense goes three-and-out after a first down sack and a slant pass that went through the hands of Ja'Marr Chase. Pass should've been caught and gone for a first down.
Auburn will start with the ball at the 46-yard line.
On 3rd-and-9, the LSU crowd forces a false start penalty on Auburn. LSU calls a timeout to talk over the gameplan for this third-and-long.
Auburn converts the first down on a pass from Nix to Anthony Schwartz. Great play design as Schwartz uses his speed to out-run the Tiger linebackers. Patrick Queen hit for a pass interference on the next play and Auburn is down to the LSU 27-yard line.

Looks like the LSU offense will stay on the field on a 4th-and-1. Tigers down to the Auburn 29-yard line Auburn takes a timeout.
Burrow QB sneak fails and LSU turns it over on downs.
Derek Stingley muffs a punt and Auburn recovers. On the replay it looks like his knee might've been down on the catch. Ruling stands, his knew wasn't down.
Play is under review to see if Williams is in. Call stands, fourth-and-goal for Auburn. Bo Nix scores on the quarterback keeper.

Third Quarter
LSU will have to punt after Burrow misfires on a pass to Marshall on 3rd-and-6. Auburn takes over at the 21-yard line
Not a good start to the second half as DJ Williams breaks open a 70-yard run to the LSU 9-yard line. First-and-goal as Williams now has 123 yards on eight carries.
LSU defense holds up in the redzone, holding Auburn to a field goal.

Beautiful pass from Burrow to Ja'Marr Chase for 45 yards sets up the Tigers at the Auburn six-yard line.
LSU is stuffed three straight times inside the three-yard line and decide to go for it on fourth down. Ja'Marr Chase is cut down at the one-yard line on a screen pass and no points for LSU. Just a killer to not walk away with points there.
Defense holds the Auburn offense at the two-yard line and the Tigers will have excellent field position, starting inside the Auburn 40-yard line

Fourth Quarter
Joe Burrow continues to make plays with his legs, scoring from seven yards out to put LSU up 23-13 as the fourth quarter starts.

LSU defense has been nothing short of phenomenal in this second half Fourth drive that doesn't get past play No. 4 and Auburn is forced to punt.
