Live Updates: No. 12 LSU Football vs. Arkansas in Week 4

The Tigers look to carry their momentum into Week 4, face a fiery Razorbacks group.

No. 12 LSU returns to Tiger Stadium to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in another key SEC matchup.

Led by signal-caller Jayden Daniels, the Tigers have an opportunity to propel their conference record to 2-0 while this unit continues hitting that next gear.

For the Razorbacks, it'll be the KJ Jefferson show. The dual-threat quarterback will look to bounce back after dropping their Week 3 contest to BYU.

Pregame Updates:

- LB Omar Speights is OUT for Saturday's contest against Arkansas. Expect true freshman Whit Weeks to earn significant playing time after earning the start in Week 3. He will start again in Week 4.

- Ovie Oghofuo and TE Mason Taylor are available for Saturday night. 

- Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. remain the starting wide receivers with Chris Hilton Jr. entering the mix. 

- TE Mason Taylor returns for the Tigers after missing Week 3 with an ankle sprain.

- CB Denver Harris earns the start for LSU again after starting in back-to-back weeks.

- Arkansas RB Rocket Sanders did not make the trip with Arkansas and is OUT against LSU.

- Zalance Heard working in with the first-team during warmups. Expect to see the true freshman take key reps Saturday night. 

- Offensive line starting unit: Will Campbell, Garrett Dellinger, Charles Turner, Miles Frazier and Emery Jones.

First Quarter

LSU has won the coin toss and elected to defer. Arkansas will start off the game with the ball.

The Tigers force a three and out on the Razorbacks first drive. Denver Harris with a key stop on first down, Zy Alexander with a pass breakup on second down and a Greg Penn III/Whit Weeks stop on third down. LSU takes over on their on 14-yard line after an Arkansas punt. 

LSU out of sorts on their first offensive possession. Two incompletions from Jayden Daniels and a six yard rush forces the Tigers to punt. Arkansas takes over on their own 44-yard line. 

Tigers force a third-and-10 and Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson uses his legs to escape the pocket and go for a 25-yard gain. Razorbacks inside the LSU 35.

Razorbacks get on the board first with a chip shot field goal from 23 yards out. 12-play, 51-yard scoring drive. 5:56 remaining in the 1st.

The Tigers rolling with a balanced attack on their second drive of the game. LSU feeds Logan Diggs for the carry on the first play followed by a completion to Malik Nabers for 22 yards. 

LSU QB Jayden Daniels tosses an interception to Arkansas DB Dwight McGlothern. Tigers struggling offensively with the Razorbacks going zone/two high safeties. Razorbacks take over on their own 45-yard line. 

Arkansas gives it right by to LSU after Tigers safety Andre Sam snags an interception on the Razorbacks' first play of the drive. Tigers take over on their own 31-yard line. 

Jayden Daniels connects with Malik Nabers with the defender draped all over him on third and 11. Tigers convert to keep the drive alive. LSU in Arkansas territory. 40 seconds remaining.

Second Quarter

Arkansas forces an LSU punt on their third possession. Jayden Daniels struggling a bit early with misreads and under throws. Blatantly missed Brian Thomas Jr. and Malik Nabers on deep balls with touchdowns in reach. 

Razorbacks making the most of their offensive possessions here early, but the scoreboard doesn't show it. 8 first downs. 5.3 yards per play. 3-for-5 on third down. Current drive: 8 plays, 66 yards. 

LSU's defense comes alive once again in the red zone, forcing the Razorbacks into a 23-yard field goal. The Tigers have been outplayed, out-manned and out hustled in the first half, trailing just 6-0 with 6:33 remaining in the half.

LSU running back Josh Williams rejuvenates the crowd with a 41-yard rush to get the Tigers in the red zone. A horse-collar penalty puts the Tigers inside the 10-yard line. 

Back-to-back runs by John Emery with Jayden Daniels sacked on third down forces the Tigers to kick a 24-yard field goal.

Arkansas is 4-for-7 on third down with nine total first downs. LSU struggling to get off of the field in the first half with KJ Jefferson making the most of his opportunities. Razorbacks driving.

KJ Jefferson connects with Tyrone Broden for a 19-yard touchdown receptions. 8-play, 75-yard touchdown drive.

Jayden Daniels connects with Brian Thomas Jr. on back-to-back plays with the second resulting in a 49-yard touchdown reception. Big-time response from the Tigers. 75-yard, 18 second drive.

Third Quarter

LSU starts off the third quarter with a bang. Jayden Daniels connects with Brian Thomas Jr for a 49-yard touchdown pass to put the Tigers up early in the second half.

Arkansas strings together another meticulous drive inside of the LSU 25-yard line but the Tigers stop the Razorbacks on third and short. Arkansas fakes the field goal and converts on fourth down. 

LSU LB Whit Weeks continues making plays for the Tigers. On second and eight, the true freshman pressures Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson with Mekhi Wingo finishing him off for the sack. Another impressive day for the youngster in his second career start. 

True freshman DL Da'Shawn Womack is emerging as a critical piece to this LSU defensive line. The youngster comes up with a huge sack on third down to force Arkansas into another field goal.

Freshmen Whit Weeks and Da'Shawn Womack have been key for this LSU defense against Arkansas. Now, true freshman Kaleb Jackson enters the game at running back for the Tigers' second drive of the second half. 

Jayden Daniels leads the Tigers down the field on a 9-play, 75-yard touchdown drive with Malik Nabers capping it off with the score. Daniels connects his with WR1 over the middle to punch it in.

Fourth Quarter 

KJ Jefferson with a masterclass possession for Arkansas. The Razorbacks' offense stalled and Jefferson does what he does best: improvise. Jefferson scrambles out of the pocket and connects with tight end Luke Hasz for the 59-yard touchdown. 2-point conversion is successful.

Jayden Daniels has erupted through the final three quarters. After a 9-play, 75-yard drive, Daniels drops a dime to LSU WR Malik Nabers in the back right corner of the end zone. Tigers lead. 

Score Update: LSU 31, Arkansas 24

It's a battle between two of the top quarterbacks in the SEC. LSU gets a stop on third and 18 but a roughing the passer call on Harold Perkins gives Arkansas a second chance. The Razorbacks respond immediately with a touchdown. 

KJ Jefferson connects with Luke Hasz in the end zone for the score to even things up. 10-play, 75-yard touchdown drive.

LSU takes over with under five minutes remaining and Daniels connects with Malik Nabers for a 36-yard gain to get the drive started. LSU enters Arkansas territory on the 39-yard line. 3:58 remaining. 

Jayden Daniels leads the Tigers down the stretch to give LSU a walk-off victory in Death Valley. Damian Ramos knocks in the chip shot field goal to win it.
