LSU stays put at No. 6 in both Coaches and AP Poll ahead of matchup with Texas

Longhorns jump to No. 9 in latest AP Poll

Ahead of the highly anticipated week two matchup with Texas, the Tigers stayed put at No. 6 in both the Coaches and AP polls. The Longhorns on the other hand, jumped to No. 9 in both the Coaches and AP polls.

The Tigers rank behind Alabama (No. 2) and Georgia (No. 3) in the SEC while ranking ahead of Auburn (No. 10), Florida (No. 11) and Texas A&M (No. 12).

LSU is coming off a convincing 55-3 win over Georgia Southern while Texas opened its season in strong fashion, with a 45-14 win over Louisiana Tech. 

The Tigers and Longhorns square up at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night on ABC and will be featured on College Gameday Saturday morning.
