LSU Commit Joseph Stone Locked in With Tigers, Shuts Down Recruitment

Stone pledged to Brian Kelly's program last July, locked in for the long haul.

LSU is blazing hot on the recruiting trail after securing a trio of top prospects this week. After their latest pledges went public with their decision, the Tigers received even more good news.

2024 four-star wide receiver Joseph Stone has shut down his recruitment and is locked in on LSU. Stone, one of the top prospects in Georgia, committed to LSU last summer, but had recently kept his options open.

Stone took official visits to UCF and Louisville recently, but after exploring options, he confirmed his commitment to what Brian Kelly is building down South and has shut down his recruitment as a whole.

Stone is locked in with LSU.

Standing at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds, Stone is about as versatile of an athlete this coaching staff could ask for. Reeling in 37 offers according to Rivals, Stone has been a hot name on the market with LSU coming in and taking the Georgia native.

LSU is beginning to form a pipeline from Loganville, Ga. to Baton Rouge with 2023 four-star safety Michael Daugherty committing to the Tigers last offseason as well.

Stone has been in Baton Rouge a few times unofficially this year, developing a relationship with the new staff and getting familiar with this new era of LSU football. Being recruited as an athlete gives the Tigers hope that he can be a do-it-all player on this deep roster they’re developing.

Now, the top wide receiver has arrived in Baton Rouge for his official visit with Brian Kelly and the Tigers where he will be accompanied by several current LSU commitments to help this program continue building their class.
