LSU Football: The Latest on the No. 1 Running Back in America Harlem Berry

In this story:
The No. 1 running back in the 2025 cycle, Harlem Berry, is set to reveal his college decision in just six days. Berry will announce his commitment on Jan. 3 at the Under Armour All-American Game.
Originally set to commit on Dec. 18, Berry shuffled his decision date and will be in Orlando, Fla. to tell America where he will take his talents at the next level.
Berry will be the first underclassman to reveal his pledge at the game.
It's been a busy fall for the five-star. The No. 1 player in Louisiana made his way to Baton Rouge for visits to Death Valley twice this fall with the Bayou Bengals turning up the heat.
Berry released his top schools this fall with the Tigers making the cut. The electrifying back has put the country on notice, and for running backs coach Frank Wilson, he's rolled out the red carpet on several occasions for his No. 1 target.

The Latest Visit to Baton Rouge: Florida Game
Berry has made his way to Baton Rouge on several occasions this year, including game day visits for the Auburn and Florida matchups.
From unofficial visits to camping at LSU over the summer, it's no secret there is mutual interest between both parties.
The No. 1 running back in America recently released his top schools with Kelly and Co. sitting alongside several elite programs including Texas and Florida.
In November, the Tigers got another crack at Berry where he was joined by a star-studded 2025 visitors list, including James Simon (the No. 2 RB in Louisiana) and four-star LSU commit Keylan Moses (No. 8 player in Louisiana).
The Good: The Frank Wilson Effect
LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson rarely swings and misses on top Louisiana prospects, especially at the running back position. He's a master of his craft.
Wilson has taken the lead on Berry's recruitment with the two developing a tight knit relationship over the last handful of months while LSU has turned up the heat.
For a player of Berry's caliber, the top player in Louisiana has several potential suitors, but Wilson has done his due diligence over the last two years.
It's a long way out until the 2025 prospect puts pen to paper and LSU will continue a full court press for his services, but now with a commitment date confirmed, it's go-time for the Tigers.
Speaking of Potential Suitors: The Top Three
Berry is still early in the process despite looking to shut down his recruitment on Jan. 3. After wrapping up his junior campaign, he's been wined and dined by several top programs in America with a few standing out from the rest.
The Texas Longhorns come to mind when speaking with those familiar with the situation. Steve Sarkisian and Co. have turned up the heat for Berry, but Sark, along with the rest of Berry's top schools, will battle until the final buzzer.
Berry recently released his final five schools consisting of LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and USC last month, but will now choose between the Tigers, Gators and Longhorns come Jan. 3.
After speaking with those familiar with the situation, LSU has separated themselves from the pack. LSU Country will place a prediction sooner rather than later with the Bayou Bengals getting the nod.
Again, it's a long way out until Berry's Signing Day next December, but Kelly and his staff have certainly continued making an impression on the No. 1 player in Louisiana.
