LSU Football: Tigers Land Commitment From 4-Star RB Caden Durham
Duncanville (Tex.) four-star running back Caden Durham has made his decision. The coveted prospect has committed to Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers after this program took charge of his recruitment over the summer.
Durham, a Top 100 recruit in the nation, will head to Baton Rouge and join a loaded running back room being built in Death Valley.
After revealing his pledge, the Tigers’ 2024 class adds another element to its offense, gaining a game changer in Durham.
Running backs coach Frank Wilson is only taking one running back in the 2024 cycle, and with his sights set on Durham, the elite-level recruiter did what he does best: close the deal.
Now, LSU secures a pledge from the No. 8 back in the nation while adding a new element to this offense for the foreseeable future.
Durham will not only suit up for the Tigers in Death Valley. The two-sport athlete will also join the track and field team, which quickly became a key piece to his recruitment process.
The Texas native selected LSU over Oklahoma and Texas A&M with the Sooners becoming a major threat to the Tigers down the stretch.
With Durham’s mother running track for Oklahoma, he had their program at the top of his list, but LSU sealed the deal down the stretch in order to secure the coveted back.
Durham continues the heater down South. The Tigers have been on a recruiting surge ever since the final week of July, gaining commitments from offensive linemen Ory Williams and Joseph Cryer, among others, as well.
Along with the pair of big guys up front, LSU also added the No. 1 linebacker in Louisiana with Tylen Singleton revealing his pledge late last month.
It’s been a big-time run for this program, and now with Durham joining the class, it’s heating up in a big way for LSU as the 2023 season nears.
Brian Kelly and Co. now have 24 pledges in the 2024 class with official visit season inching closer. This program thrives on getting prospects to Tiger Stadium for game days, and with a few missing pieces left to the puzzle, LSU will look to put it all together before December’s Early Signing Period.
