Brian Kelly and Co. remain active in the 2024 class and a player this program has turned the heat up for is Terry Bussey, the No. 1 athlete in America.
Bussey, who will take an official visit to Baton Rouge this fall, has set a commitment date for Sept. 28.
The five-star athlete will choose between LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama and Texas.
The No. 2 player in Texas has taken trips across the country this year, including a surprise trip to Baton Rouge to meet with the Tigers coaching staff in June.

LSU will battle against Texas A&M in a big way for Bussey's services. He's been crystal balled to the Aggies by experts within the industry with LSU and Texas surging for the electric athlete.
Bussey put up significant production as dual-threat QB with 2,000-plus passing yards, 2,500-plus rushing yards, and 70-plus total TDs as a junior.
On defense, it's the same story with his production. Bussey has tallied 300 tackles and 24 INTs on defense from freshman through junior campaigns. After also adding in the handful of special teams TDs, it's clear just how electric the top athlete in the country is.
For LSU, they're looking to recruit Bussey as a defensive back as they continue retooling the secondary.
He's proven how lethal he can be in open space with his explosiveness and quick feet, making him a perfect candidate to play defensive back for the Tigers.
It'll be interesting to monitor Bussey's recruitment over the next few weeks as he locks in on making a decision.
A Texas guy, all signs point to Texas A&M creating some distance from the pack, but LSU has its foot on the gas as they look to make an impact in his recruitment.
