LSU wide receiver Kyle Parker continues to impress this offseason as he navigates his way up the Tigers' Depth Chart.

Parker, a redshirt freshman out of Texas, came to Baton Rouge as a four-star wideout with polished technique and an impressive skill set as a freshman.

Now, as he prepares for year two with the Bayou Bengals, he's taking significant strides in the right direction.

The offseason has treated Parker well. He's put in work both back home and in Death Valley and it's clearly paying dividends.

During Wednesday's spring practice, the youngster took first-team reps alongside Kyren Lacy and Chris Hilton Jr.

"That's awesome to see, a lot of times you see guys go from their freshman year to their sophomore year and they look totally different... He knows what's going on," LSU starting quarterback Garrett Nussmeier said on Wednesday.

"He knows what he's doing and he's worked his tail off. It's been translating out on the field and he looks really good."

The 2023 recruiting class was an uber-talented group headlined by five-star wide receiver Shelton Sampson Jr. Along with Sampson, it was Parker, Jalen Brown and Khai Prean who made up the receiver haul for coach Cortez Hankton.

Now, Parker is beginning to separate himself from the pack of second-year Tigers.

During the offseason, Brown entered the NCAA Transfer Portal before departing for Florida State.

It's a loaded wide receiver room with several gifted players, but Parker hasn't shied away from the competition.

Lacy and Hilton Jr. have looked the part as starters for this program with Parker, Aaron Anderson, Liberty transfer CJ Daniels and Mississippi State transfer Zavion Thomas all fighting for that third starting receiver spot.

On Wednesday, it was Parker who turned heads, but this wide receiver battle will certainly go into fall camp in August.

Daniels, a 1,000-yard receiver for Liberty a season ago, came to Baton Rouge with tremendous hype along with Mississippi State transfer Zavion Thomas.

It's clear wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton has an embarrassment of riches and will be using them as such next fall, but for now, there will be several players battling for snaps, including Parker.

As the offseason continues, LSU Country will have Tiger fans up to date on All Things LSU with spring practice ramping up this week.
