LSU Gets Visit From Four-Star QB George MacIntyre

MacIntyre continues rising up the rankings, Tigers getting in on his recruitment early.

When Brian Kelly accepted the job at LSU, he knew his recruiting resources would be the best in the country. With such a large talent pool in the South, it’s benefitted him greatly, but the work has just begun after locking down his first true class.

Fast forward to now and Kelly is retooling for the future, specifically at the quarterback position. Over the last few weeks, this recruiting staff has offered two of the top signal-callers in the 2025 cycle: George MacIntyre and Bryce Jay Underwood.

LSU got Underwood on campus earlier this month, but now is MacIntyre's visit.

The four-star signal-caller arrived to campus last night and stayed on campus for Saturday's spring practice.

The gifted quarterback continues stacking offers but the Tigers are making sure to get in on his recruitment as early as possible in order to develop relationships. It’s Kelly’s favorite part of the process and it’s clear his intentions here.

With Jayden Daniels returning for his final season in Baton Rouge and Garrett Nussmeier looking to be the guy to follow in his footsteps, it’s obvious the plans Kelly has when it comes to recruiting 2025 quarterbacks, getting it started already.

Here’s a look into MacIntyre:

George MacIntyre - Nashville (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy

MacIntyre is a 4-star, Top 60 prospect in the 2025 class with an offer list growing at a rapid pace as of late. The No. 1 player in Tennessee already boasts an offer sheet of over 17 programs with LSU being the latest to offer.

At 6-foot-5, 185 pounds, MacIntyre is your prototypical signal-caller in the SEC and has seen his game evolve significantly after a standout sophomore campaign. A slender frame, developing size will clearly be of the utmost importance, but from a fundamentals standpoint, the youngster showed it all in his first year starting on varsity.

MacIntyre is also a standout on the hardwood with Power Five interest in basketball. A dual-sport athlete, it shows in his footwork when in the pocket. Look for his steady rise to continue as he enters his junior season next fall with LSU beginning to get their foot in the door early.
