LSU QB Commit Colin Hurley Sets Return Trip to Baton Rouge

Hurley will make his way back to Death Valley, give the Tigers a boost in recruiting.

LSU quarterback commit Colin Hurley will make his way down to Baton Rouge on Friday for a visit to LSU, he tells LSU Country. The 2024 pledge will attend the Tigers "Bayou Splash" event with several top targets in attendance.

Hurley, the jewel of Brian Kelly’s 2024 class to this point, has played a pivotal role on the recruiting trail for the Tigers so far. Now, as he makes his way to Death Valley for the third time this summer, it’ll be another stretch for Hurley to work his magic.

LSU has put in work in the 2024 cycle but this squad is nowhere near finished just yet. This weekend will be the most important recruiting event of the summer, and with a handful of high-priority targets making their way to town, Hurley will once again play a major role.

Kelly and his staff will host Top 10 prospect Colin Simmons and teammate Caden Durham for the Bayou Splash event. Durham, a four-star running back, will make his college announcement in August.

Two of the biggest targets remaining for LSU, it’s imperative this program rolls out the red carpet for the Duncanville (Tex.) duo.

Along with Simmons and Durham, the Tigers will bring in two “must-get” Louisiana natives.

As it stands right now, LSU has eight of the state’s Top 10 prospects committed with the only two not pledged to the purple and gold being Dominick McKinley and Wardell Mack.

McKinley, the state’s No. 1 player, and Mack, the state’s No. 4 player, will be in town for the Bayou Splash event on July 28.

With Hurley and several other 2024 commitments traveling in for the monstrous weekend, LSU will be in good hands as they begin finalizing their class.

The Tigers have 19 pledges to this point with more on the way sooner rather than later as they look to heat up on the recruiting trail.
