Tiger Practice Report: Kardell Thomas practices for second straight day Tuesday

Marshall in gold no-contact jersey for Tuesday's portion of practice open to the media

In a surprising twist of events, freshman guard Kardell Thomas was a full participant in individual drills during Tuesday's portion of practice open to the media. It was the second straight day Thomas was a participant in practice.

Thomas, a five-star recruit out of Southern Lab, underwent ankle surgery in August and was expected to miss the entire 2018-19 season. While coach Ed Orgeron and the coaching staff have yet to comment on Thomas' status after these recent developments, it's a positive sign to see the freshman in any capacity on the field.

Thomas (No. 58) can be seen going through individual drills in the video below.

In addition to the return of Thomas, receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. was seen practicing in a gold no-contact jersey on Tuesday. Orgeron said Monday that there was going to be a plan in place for Marshall in practice this week with the hope of him suiting up and playing on Saturday against No. 9 Auburn.

"We will see how much he can do," Orgeron said Monday. "Jack Marucci and Coach Brady have an excellent plan. We talked about it today. He's going to want to do everything, be ready to go. But we feel that by game time he should be ready to play."

The junior receiver has been out of the lineup since undergoing surgery on an injured foot, suffered in the 66-38 win over Vanderbilt.

At practice, Orgeron was working with the interior defensive line, who the Tiger coach said faces its toughest battle to date in the Auburn offensive line.
