Tiger Practice Report: Receiver Terrace Marshall makes return to practice field Monday

Sophomore receiver suffered foot injury against Vanderbilt that required surgery

Coach Ed Orgeron said last week to expect sophomore wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. back sooner rather than later.

Well Marshall was back at practice Monday, albeit in no pads and on a light work day. Marshall suffered a reported fractured foot against Vanderbilt that required surgery and was given an initial timeline of 2-4 weeks.

Orgeron has described Marshall's injury as similar to one that former defensive end Christian LaCouture sustained a few years back, saying it only took two weeks for LaCouture to return from his injury.

While Orgeron said Marshall wouldn't be on the same timeline as LaCouture was, it appears Marshall is on a similar timeline. It will be interesting to see how involved Marshall will be when the pads go on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In other injury news, freshman Cordale Flott was not seen at practice Monday, as expected but senior defensive end Glen Logan and tight end Tory Carter were both seen participating.

Orgeron said Logan would be a limited participant in practice this week while Carter has been out of the lineup the last two games.

In practice, the offense was seen working on screen passes to the running backs.

The defensive ends were seen working on explosion drills with Orgeron at the opposite end of the field.
