The Impact: How Pete Jenkins is Transforming the LSU Defensive Line

Brian Kelly hired Pete Jenkins midseason in order to improve the defensive line, move is paying off so far.

The LSU defensive line was in need of a veteran coach to come in and impact a room that was struggling mightily through the first half of the season, and after a big-time loss to Ole Miss, Brian Kelly made the hire.

Kelly brought in former defensive line coach Pete Jenkins to come in and serve as an analyst for this group. It's been a small sample size, but the results have been clear.

The players have praised Jenkins' expertise. The defensive line numbers have improved. So far, it looks as though the hire as paid off for LSU.
