The LSU Football Injury Report: Auburn Week

Brian Kelly lists four Tigers to monitor as Auburn Week begins, trio of players trending as probable.

No. 22 LSU has dealt with a handful of injuries this season with Brian Kelly providing an injury report ahead of this week's home contest against Auburn.

The Tigers were without a trio of key contributors on Saturday at Missouri with the absentees now trending positively.

The Week 7 Injury Report:

- WR Chris Hilton (high ankle sprain): Doubtful

- WR Aaron Anderson (hamstring): Probable

- LB Omar Speights (hip flexor): Probable

- OL Charles Turner (knee): Probable

For starters, it's clear LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was banged up against Missouri in Week 6. The Tigers' starting signal-caller went down with a rib injury but returned for LSU. Now, after taking the last day and a half to recover, Daniels was not listed on this week's injury report. Daniels will be a full participant in Tuesday's practice.

LSU wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. injured his ankle on the final play of the Ole Miss game after landing awkwardly in an attempt to make a reception. Last week, Hilton was seen in the LSU facility in a walking boot with his status in doubt for Week 7 against Auburn.

For Aaron Anderson, the other LSU wideout listed on the injury report, he's trending positively after suffering a hamstring injury before the Ole Miss game. An injury suffered in practice, Anderson has now missed back-to-back games for the Tigers while also being sidelined for the Missouri showdown.

LSU linebacker Omar Speights has been dealing with a hip flexor injury that has now held him out of three games this season, including the Tigers' Week 6 contest at Missouri. With the Oregon State transfer sidelined, LSU has relied on true freshman Whit Weeks to carry the load. Looking ahead, Speights will be probable for Saturday in Tiger Stadium against Auburn.

The final Tiger on the injury report is offensive lineman Charles Turner. LSU's starting center suffered a knee injury against Missouri with the program in fear of something significant, but after further testing, all signs point to Turner being able to suit up this weekend against Auburn at home.
