LSU left no doubt Saturday night who the No. 1 team in the country should be and the College Football Playoff committee agreed, putting the Tigers ahead of Ohio State Tuesday night.

Coming up behind the Tigers were Ohio State, Clemson and Georgia, who is coming off wins over Florida and Missouri after being upset by South Carolina.

Alabama, on the other hand, came in at No. 5 after the 46-41 loss to LSU over the weekend. The Crimson Tide no longer control their own destiny but will be in the conversation should one of the top-four teams take a tumble.

Other SEC teams coming in the committee's top-25 were Florida (11) and Auburn (12).

Unlike Alabama, the Tigers absolutely control their own destiny with Ole Miss, Arkansas and Texas A&M to round out the season. Those three teams have a combined record of 12-17, with the Aggies having the only winning record of the three.
