WATCH: Brian Kelly Discusses Logan Diggs and Kaleb Jackson's Impact

The pair of first-year Tigers shined in Week 2, provide different element to the backfield.

LSU showed significant improvement in their rushing attack on Saturday night led by Notre Dame transfer Logan Diggs and freshman phenom Kaleb Jackson.

For Diggs, the first-year Tiger missed the Week 1 showdown against Florida State while nursing a hamstring injury suffered during the offseason, but now the Louisiana native looks healthier than ever.

Diggs strung together an impressive debut for LSU against Grambling, totaling 115 yards on 15 carries while punching in a touchdown.

Freshman Kaleb Jackson also made his presence felt on Saturday night. Jackson received significant run in the second half where the youngster punched in his first and second touchdowns as a Tiger. 

Jackson ended the night with 62 yards on 11 carries with two touchdowns in his LSU debut. 

Brian Kelly praised his first-year Tigers and the impact they made in Week 2 with the chance to continue carrying their momentum into SEC play.
