The Miami Hurricanes are bringing in nine players from the Transfer Portal.

Which ones will be the most likely to make an impact? Hopefully, a certain pass rusher that's coming over from Marshall will be one of them. No college football team can truly have enough players to rush the quarterback.

After working with current UM defensive coaches Lance Guidry and Chevis Jackson while with the Thundering Herd, Elijah Alston comes to Coral Gables with high expectations.

45 tackles, 6 sacks, 11.5 tackles for loss, and a pick-six are primary statistics from Alston's 2023 season. The 6-foot-2 and 256-pound edge defender is one that AllHurricanes is anxious to see during Miami's spring practices and Canes fans should also be excited about him.

Look for a Miami player rankings article coming up soon. Alston is one of the players that will be on it.

Miami Baseball Falls To UCF

The Hurricanes fell to the Knights by a score of 4 to 3 last night. The Hurricanes are now 3-1 on the young season and will play Long Island University this Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Mark Light Field. It's the first of a three-game series between the two schools.

Additionally, Florida will be coming to play Miami on March 2 at 3:00 p.m. The Gators are #5 by Baseball America.

Locked On Canes

Yesterday's episode of Locked On Canes discusses Miami spring ball opportunities, the pressure for specific players to perform, and a key personnel decision from Mario Cristobal. It's a great way to learn more about UM football.
