Since arriving at Michigan, Don Brown has always fielded one of the best defenses in the country but crossing routes have given him some fits.

If you look back at the Indiana, Ohio State and Florida games last year, you'll see Michigan's defense struggle against crossing routes against Don Brown's signature man-to-man scheme. 

We saw it a little more against Middle Tennessee and Rutgers this year albeit in very easy wins. Brown is old school and swears by his approach and talked about just that during his Wednesday media session.
