Hello folks!

Thanks again for taking the time to read Spartan Nation.Â

·       Don’t forget to join me each weeknight for Mid-Michigan’s most sports at 6:15 p.m. Monday thru Friday on ABC 53.

·       On Hondo’s House Friday night, I am talking Pistons basketball with my buddy Tony Brown from TV20 in Detroit, the Pistons station. Stay tuned!

·       McNair is in a real “bad” situation. As I have been reporting since the 3rd week of February, he is going to be the next Raven’s QB and that wretched owner Bud Adams and his minions are holding it up. MEMO TO BUD: you won’t let him in the building, we know your going to cut him, show some love and let the guy that has done nothing but show you love go.

·       I was at the Tigers game last night and it was great to see them yet again win a close game with pitching. You have to love Bondo and the way this team is progressing.

·       I don’t want to talk about the Wings until A) they get rid of Pavel B) get a great goalie. Manny is a terrific human, but can’t get the job done when it counts.

·       I don’t want to hear any Red Wings fans moaning about the officiating. It was brutal, against both teams and the Wings are to good to have lost even with that.

·       John Daly announced that he has lost 50-60 MILLION (read that like Austin Powers…MILLLLLLLLLIONNNNNN) gambling. OUCH, but hey if you got it, you can spend it.Â

·       An NFL official told me last night that Doug Flutie is going to retire. I love that guy; he is a real football player. He never took from the game he only gave back. That makes me sad.

·       Last night I was talking to a baseball official who told me that in his opinion, it is a “no brainer” that the Rocket, Roger Clemens will be back in Houston this season. He also went on to say: “of course he is gonna milk this, he loves attention more then any ten-gallon hat.” I am unsure what that meant but it sounded Texan and funny.

·       How about my Tigers, 17-9! I will be at Comerica again tonight to watch them sweep series number 2 in a row.

·       I admit it, I hate the Celtics but they are now going to add a dance team, (the last in the NBA to do it) I bet Red Auerbach is just going crazy. He is nuts and you have to love that old school guy.

·       It hadn’t happened since 1989, but UM didn’t get a guy drafted in the first round. Got to love seeing that entire talent mold!

·       It is only 5 months and 5 days until the MSU vs. UM football game!
