Hello folks!
Thanks again for taking the time to read Spartan Nation.Â
·       Don’t forget to join me each weeknight for Mid-Michigan’s most sports at 6:15 p.m. Monday thru Friday on ABC 53.
·       On Hondo’s House Friday night, I am talking Lions football. I spent the weekend in Allen Park and you will hear from several Lions rookies. Stay tuned!
·       Think Bill Parcells likes having T.O.? He’s already off the record talking to media members in Dallas about this “probably†being his last, due to his age. Of course Bill, we believe that. Bill also told the media today “on the record†that he would take no more questions about T.O. Gotta love the Tuna!
·       Tony Dungy has invited Tim Couch former #1 pick of the Browns in today for a try out. Remember you read it here first.
·       Sources in Detroit yesterday morning, and confirmed in Miami last night told me that the Lions renewed talks with the Dolphins and the Joey deal may be done: this week.
·       Jeff Backus sat down with Matt Millen yesterday to see if he could work out a deal. He is the Lions franchise player.
·       Nick Saban used Marcus “HERE COMES TROUBLE†Vick exclusively as a WR in the rookie mini camp.
·       You read it here first: with the Mets losing a starting pitcher (Victor Zambrano) look for them to trade super prospect Lastings Milledge to the A’s for Barry Zito.
·       John Hammond Lions V.P. is a possible candidate in Denver. Bank on it.
·       As reported on Spartan Nation yesterday, Dom Natale the freshman QB has been given permission of MSU football to seek a transfer to either Rutgers or Cincinnati. Keep posted here for more as it develops.
·       Remember back in February when I told you that Mike Holmgren was going to talk about maybe stepping down as coach to get a new deal. Well some of you emailed and told me how worn out he was and is and that I should give him a break. Well keep watching, yesterday he sat down with the Hawks to try to get a new deal. Oh, don’t forget, you saw it first on Spartan Nation.
·       I also am the one who told you that Nick Saban was bringing in Marcus Vick as a stunt. Well once again Spartan Nation was correct as Vick is going to go to Canada, my sources tell me.
·       It is only 4 months and 29 days until the MSU vs. UM football game!
