Whether it was the laughing while the game was on the line and they were losing, or Raswhine laughing it up in the Sixers huddle, we all saw in game one why the Pistons won’t live up to their potential. It was disgusting sitting in the stands and seeing them acting like yet another season didn’t matter. Sure they will turn it on and win some games, but are we destined to hear them once again tell us after a disappointing series loss (eventually) how the better team lost?

I hate it when teams feed that line of crap. There is no excuse for this undisciplined group of under achieving babies. You can’t blame Flip. This team is undisciplined and what can he do? These players have run off disciplinarians and Joe D let them.

This team has won one title and that was when the under motivated and (in my opinion) childish Raswhine was playing for a new deal. This team could be champions again, but they won’t. They don’t care. They don’t love the game. They love the adoration of the Piston faithful, but they don’t love them back. They love the attention and the Rock Star status, but where it counts (loving the game of basketball) they don’t even pretend to be emotional.Â

Sure Raswhine called my bad after the loss. It was his bad. How startling? How amazing. He took responsibility. Responsibility he wouldn’t have to take if it counted. He has great talent with no heart in my opinion unless he was playing for a deal.

They have the Bentleys and the Hummers and they have the stage. Isaiah and Magic used to kiss to start the game and then hate one another. These guys want to joke and laugh the entire game and turn it on when necessary. That is not how champions play. That is why after Raswhine got his deal they haven’t been champions, because they aren’t.

When Joe D came back he built a team in his image. It was a grab a lunch pail and go to work mentality. It was reflective of his mentality. Now they call for Grey Poupon and a manicure. This team is no more blue collar in their approach to basketball then I am a thong bikini model for Victoria Secret. This team isn’t a reflection of Joe D and certainly not Michigan. They have the talent of contenders and the basketball character of pretenders.

This team will lose again and Pistons fans will see yet another season go by that is a complete failure without the hardware. Speculation is rampant that Flip will be gone if they don’t make a title run. Sadly, as much as I love him, if Flip is gone they should send Joe D with him. Joe let his players run the show and he knows better than that. When he played for the Bad Boy’s those teams didn’t need the discipline. They understood. They represented. Unlike Raswhine and the gang.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they rolled off the next four. That doesn’t matter. This organization and fans deserve a title. A title they won’t win albeit a title they should win. The Sixers don’t matter. The other series do and they won’t be ready.

Who cares, they have their millions and the Pistons fans have jack…yet again. They WILL NOT win it all. To do so takes heart and none of them are playing for a new deal. Pathetic!
