RAMPAGE RE-SIGNS SALISBURY THROUGH 2008 SEASON

RAMPAGE RE-SIGNS SALISBURY THROUGH 2008 SEASONThe Grand Rapids Rampage announced today that starting quarterback Chad Salisbury has been re-signed through the 2008 season. Per team policy, no other terms of the deal were disclosed.Â

“I’m really excited about staying here in Grand Rapids,” said Salisbury. “I think this team is definitely headed in the right direction and I truly appreciate Coach McEwen’s confidence in me to do my part.”

Salisbury (6’06,” 240 lbs., Buffalo) has already surpassed his career single-season highs in every passing category in just nine games as Rampage starting quarterback. He has completed 209-of-346 passes for 2,293 yards with 43 touchdowns and a passer rating of 97.9. Salisbury ranks fourth in Rampage history in nearly every passing category.

“I’m definitely looking forward to another two seasons with the Rampage,” continued Salisbury. “This is starting to feel like home to me. My family really enjoys Grand Rapids.”

After missing two games with an injury, Salisbury returned to the starting lineup last week and became the first QB in team history to win his first four home starts as the Rampage beat the then-Western Division-leading Arizona Rattlers 45-42.Â

Salisbury and his Rampage teammates host the Nashville Kats on Centennial Wireless Field at Van Andel Arena this Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. Tickets for all Rampage home games are available through StarTicketsPLUS (1.800.585.3737), at all Michigan Meijer locations or at The Zone (located on the west side of Van Andel Arena).
