Western is a good team with a great coach. They are empty with experience in the backfield and that is where the Wolverines attack. 31-21

Sept. 12: Notre Dame
Prediction: Loss!
The Wolverines are young and rebuilding and they can’t keep up with the Irish who pull away late 24-17

Sept. 19: Eastern Michigan
Prediction: WIN!
M Rod shows no love for Ron English and they destroy EMU 49-16

Sept. 26: Indiana
Prediction: WIN!
The Wolverines are rebuilding, but that doesn’t matter here. Putting together the best two- game run of his brief UM career, M Rod and the Wolverines roll again 34-10

Oct. 3: at Michigan State
Prediction: Loss!
The Spartans serve notice in Spartan Stadium that they are back and win a game closer than some expect to win the last two in this rivalry. 27-19

Oct. 10: at Iowa
Prediction: Loss!
The Wolverines come down off of two big wins followed by a loss to rival MSU and are emotionally spent. The Hawks have a big day and dominate the Wolverines 30-13

Oct. 17: Delaware State
Prediction: WIN!
UM goes off on D State trouncing them on every side of the ball. UM 59-20

Oct. 24: Penn State
Prediction: Loss!
Not a good day for the Wolverines. PSU comes in and struggles, but pulls away in the fourth quarter for a 34-24 win.

Oct. 31: at Illinois
Prediction: Loss!
UM enters Illini country and plays one of their best games of the season. It is a loss, but they play tough and lose on a last second field goal. 23-20

Nov. 7: Purdue
Prediction: WIN!
UM has no worry about being spent for this game. There is blood in the water and they smell it. They will whip Purdue. 27-13

Nov. 14: at Wisconsin
Prediction: Loss!
The Wolverines head to Camp Randall and get run on, run over and run around. The ugliest game of the year and lose. 21-16

Nov. 21: Ohio State
Prediction: Loss!
Once again the Buckeyes show the Wolverines who is the Big Daddy. They decimate them at home and dash any hopes of a Motor City Bowl trip or even stopping the slide of this once proud rivalry. OSU 49-13

A five-win season will send the Blue into meltdown mode. It will be anyone’s guess to see if M Rod comes back. I like him and think he should come back. I think the rank and file UM fan agrees, but will those on the inside let it happen? We shall see. Everything I hear is that he has to make it to a Bowl Game not called the Motor City Bowl and this team is very young.
