The Tigers Won’t Be As Big Of A Disappointment As People Think

During Spring Training, the talk-of-the-town was how the Tigers were going to be the team to beat in the league. I mean how cool is that, that is something that Detroit fans have been waiting a LONG time to hear. Ten games into the season, people began to say, “Oh, I knew the Tigers would blow this season.” Are you kidding me? We’re not even a third of the way through the season yet and you’re counting the Tigers out of the race? Just because they didn’t have the perfect start doesn’t mean they’re not going to give teams a run for their money in the AL Central.

As long as everyone stays healthy and doesn’t get seriously injured, the Tigers will definitely be a threat in the AL Central this season and the White Sox and Twins better watch out. The loss of Zumaya for three months does hurt, but this will show us just how strong the bullpen is.

Before everyone starts counting the Tigers out of the race for the AL Central title, at LEAST give them until August. I mean they did make it to the World Series last year didn’t they? That was something that many people didn’t think that they could do.

A word of advice: Get to a Tigers game as soon as you can. A day at the ballpark is always a great one and if it's the Tigers you’re going to watch, it’s a given. And if the drive to Detroit is too far or tickets are too much, there’s Olds Park just down the street in Lansing with tickets for just a few bucks where you can sit on the lawn with your kids and let them roll down the hill and catch home run balls.

GO TIGERS! Beat the Red Sox!
