If you’re a woman and you are proud that you get to vote, wear a bathing suit, and think for yourself, if you are glad that you can go outside not covered from head to toe and without being supervised (GRRR…Escorted) by a male family member, make sure this Memorial Day to thank a Veteran!

If you look at your spouse or children, friends or neighbors and they have all of their limbs, please remember those that have lost theirs in other lands, and make sure this Memorial Day to thank a Veteran!

If you are an Iraqi and you no longer have to hear a dictator, or an Afghan and you no longer fear the repressive and inhumane Taliban, make sure this Memorial Day to thank a Veteran!

If you live in another country, chances are that you see our blessed nation and want to be here. Please do not hate the vast majority of Americans who want our borders closed from illegal immigration. Please understand that I don’t know any American who wants immigration to end, we just want it done legally and make sure this Memorial Day to thank a Veteran, because they have defended and their blood has built a nation that you so desperately want to live in and be a part of.

To all of our heroes and their families that will not be together today, I pray and ask God to fill your heart this day with a comfort and that he bless you and your families for doing what you are called to do with bravery and courage.

I am not ashamed to thank God not only for you, but also for my country. Today I take time to thank you: The United States Veteran. You are a gift to our nation and your sacrifice is not ignored nor discounted. Today is our day to honor you and we do so!
