Bracket set for Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament in Minneapolis

Action begins Wednesday, March 6 inside a sold out Target Center

Some of the best women's college basketball players and teams in the country will be in Minneapolis this week for the Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament, which is being hosted by the Target Center Wednesday through Sunday. 

Big Ten regular season champion Ohio State is the No.1 seed and the high-powered Iowa Hawkeyes, led by the NCAA's all-time leading scorer Caitlin Clark, enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed after they split the season series with the Buckeyes thanks to a 93-83 win on Sunday.

The hometown Minnesota Golden Gophers are the No. 11 seed and will play No. 14 Rutgers on Wednesday night, with tipoff slated to be 25 minutes after the first game of the tournament between No. 12 Purdue and No. 13 Northwestern. 

If the Gophers beat Rutgers they'll advance to play No. 5 Michigan on Thursday night, and if they were to pull that upset they would play again Friday night against No. 3 Indiana. 

Ohio State, Iowa, Indiana and No. 4 Michigan State have the four double byes into the conference tournament quarterfinals. 

The tournament has been sold out for weeks.
